Through the self-portrait series "Does Shentong Dream of Electric Sheep?", I want to illustrate the relationship between self-identity and emerging technologies. As part of the generation growing up with electronic devices, I want to explore how these new technologies affect the way we see the world, the way we are being seen, the way we establish relationships with others, and the way we express ourselves. The choice of using Red, Green, and Blue colors refers to RGB, the system for representing the colors on a screen display. All the photos in the series are shot with the "painting with light" technique.



︎ AR Filter ︎

An AR filter expanded from the image "How I Express My Emotions" in the series. Cutting and sticking emojis onto a face can be painful, but AR makes it much easier. The filter reached 20k+ open after being released for two weeks.
